Ten Constitutional Amendments, oh my ! We endorse just Amendments 1, 3, 4, & 8.
- Amendment 1:
- Allowing a surviving military spouse of a disabled veteran the right to transfer the property tax exemption is appropriate.
- Note: This act should not be ordinary tax law and not in the State Constitution.

- Amendment 3
- Prohibiting post conviction bail for persons convicted of an aggravated assault on a minor is approriate.
- This code should be in the Revised Statues and not in the State Constitution.
- Prohibiting post conviction bail for persons convicted of an aggravated assault on a minor is approriate.
- Amendment 4
- Term limits for Governor. Very appropriate!
- Yes, finally an amendment that should be in the State Constitution.
- This change matches the term limits for the United States President.
- There are plenty of capable citizens in Louisiana who can perform the duties of Govenor.
- Two terms are sufficient.
- Note: The lawyers will probably argue that the new amendment does not apply retrospectively to prior two term Governors. We believed it does, however, the Courts may rule otherwise.
- Term limits for Governor. Very appropriate!
- Amendment 8
- Prohibits land expropriation by a ‘foreign adversary’ or their agents.
- Land Expropriation should only be done by the Louisiana Government.
- This prohibition will get interesting in court if/when the Louisiana Government is accused of acting as the agent for the ‘foreign adversary’
- Prohibits land expropriation by a ‘foreign adversary’ or their agents.
