An article titled “Are we being to hard on (Justice) John Roberts” by Ken Connor, July 5th, 2012 raises the provocative though that we may be being to hard on Justice John Roberts.

I don’t agree with his assessment, but it is an interesting article to read.

A thought to consider.  Justice Roberts did not join with the 4 liberal Justices.  The 4 liberal Justices joined with Justice Roberts.  Rather than accept the complete defeat of their law, instead they accepted Justice Roberts view that the law was a Tax.

Connor cites this quote from Justices Roberts decision.

“Members of this court are vested with the authority to interpret the law; we possess neither the expertise nor the prerogative to make policy judgments.  Those decisions are entrusted to our nation’s leaders, who can be thrown out of office if the people disagree with them.  It is not our job to protect the people from the consequences of their political choices.
